Your chance to join the National Youth Dance Company  (NYDC ) and to see the present company’s inaugural new work (in between) choreographed by guest artistic director Jasmin Vardimon.

Launched earlier this year and hosted by Sadler’s Wells the NYDC is an exciting new company that aims to create and perform innovative and influential youth dance, bringing together some of the brightest young talent from across England to work with Sadler’s Wells internationally renowned Associate Artists.

NYDC is now looking to recruit a further 30 new members and seeks young performers who are passionate about dance, with experience in any dance style. Members of the company have the chance to work with a range of teachers and choreographers to learn, create and perform original work, drawing on a number of dance techniques including contemporary, hip hop, ballet and south Asian dance.

If you would like to join, your first step is to sign up for the Experience Day to be held in the JV Production Space, Stour Centre, Ashford on 30 June. The workshop is free, but places must be reserved by emailing NYDC@sadlerswells.com. The day will include teaching on technique and creative elements, plus an information session on safe practice in the studio, potential careers in dance and will close with a performance by current members of NYDC of (in between).
