Hype Dance Company presents Hip Hop Dance Teacher Training Day

Do you run a school and are thinking of running a street dance class? Do you teach street dance, but don’t really know what to do? Thinking of employing a street teacher, but don’t know what to look for? Or are you a street dance teacher who simply wants some further training?

Getting back to basics this introduction day will give teachers:
- The history of the style
- Appropriate warm ups
- Foundation techniques
- Basic sequences to teach and adapt
- Help with music choices
- How to implement at your dance school
- A booklet full of information from the day to take home & keep
The course will be taught by Anna Olejnicki, a Fellow of the IDTA, who is Artistic Director at Hype – one of the countries only Hip Hop Dance education companies.
Anna is one of only a few female Hip Hop choreographers for theatre, which has taken her to work in Dusseldorf, New York and Chicago, as well as all over the UK. She is well respected within the field of Hip Hop dance and an experienced teacher with Hype Dance Academy which is recognised by the Council for Dance Education and Training (CDET). Students from Hype Dance Academy will assist Anna on the day.
The course will run on Sunday 20th July 2014 at Hype Dance studios in Sheffield from 10:00 – 16:00
