25 March, Nottingham
Absolutely stunning and breathtaking performance.  I am currently at Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds in my final year and would love the opportunity to join a dance troop like ADT.

As a birthday suprise for me my mum and dad took me to see birdbrain. I pretty much cant  have imagined a better dance show to see. Along with a favourite show in the past by the kosh in a church!! So fast and energetic and the music just giving me more of a buzz. All performers amazing. Could'nt take my eyes off paul and the two oriental girls who you just could'nt fault. Made my love of dance even more obvious!!! Going to NZ in August. Do you have any dates in NZ or AUS for that time? To cut a long story short Paul, almost caught you at the end. Want to have a chat. Went a bit shy! If you ever in London, Fancy a drink?!! i know sounds crazy, just being honest.....!  anyway show was amazing. Thanks for such a nice birthday night.

28 February, Brighton
The two dancers from the company were friendly and approachable. Pushing us to our limits and setting us challenges, which we all enjoyed. We are presently taking all the new movement and ideas you have taught us to create a dance of our own. We have all come out in bruises, but like you say, no pain no game. Its amazing how easy and little you make it look.   It was lovely to go and watch the performance and see moves we struggled with, performed to perfection.   Thank you so much

Astounding, heartstopping, challenging and absolutely fantastic . As an audience memeber it felt as though no one dared breathe, cough or rustle for fear of missing one moment of the intense action. The atmpsphere of the auditorium was electric, as if everyone had been stunned into a mesmirised trance by the attack, virtuosity, commitment and sheer genius of the dancers and choreography on the stage... please come back SOON!!x

Just been to see your show at The Lowry - it was amazing! Have seen many contemporary dance pieces in my time, having studied dance but this is the best I have seen in a long time. Kept my friend Ellie and I on the edge of our seats all night! How lucky to be part of such a wonderful dance company. Hope to see you in the Uk again soon

21 February, Stirling

Saw the performance on Friday at Stirling Uni - I am not a person who normally goes to "dance" events, but was tempted by the publicity. It was electrifying and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience including the discussion afterwards. I have been raving about it to everyone I have met since. Thank you for a wonderful, wonderful, awe inspiring evening. I even decided to take my yoga more seriously to see if I can persuade my 55 year young body to achieve some of the flexibility I saw on stage! Some hope, huh?

12 February, Newcastle
The Birdbrain workshop was only a fragment of the sheer thrill and inspiration that I recieved from watching the performance at Newcastle. I will remember you guys forever, you have heightened my passion and drive to dance and I'm so thankful to all of you. I never usually get as much pleasure from watching contemprary dance as I do when performing, but ADT proved me wrong! You guys ROCK!!!

Amazing non-stop dynamic performance. Fantastic to see ballet moves danced to heavy electronic music and interwoven with contemporary moves executed with such energy and precision. The use of 'named T shirts' was inspired. It brought in some really good bits of humour as well as acting as a guide to where we were at in relation to the Swan Lake story.

Stunning Outstanding Stupendous

I am shaking with adrenaline, Fantastic!

A very interesting energetic dance performance, overall I enjoyed it very much 10 out of 10!

Very contemporary!  Good, interesting interpretation of something that can be too traditional.  (This was not!)

A very good performance.  The dancers were excellent as was the choreography.  A very different version of Swan Lake.  10/10

Fresh & Brilliant.  I'm shaking with excitement 10/10 *smiley face*

Wicked!!  I liked the lake bit, want to go tumbling round the streets now!

Fantastic.  I'd love to be able to watch it again & again because I felt I missed so much trying to absorb it al.  Shame the lighting made it difficult to see from high up.

Brilliant performance, filled with elegance and fantastic moves!  I would definitely come back, given a chance!

Really enjoyable, the guy who shot the arrows into the heart was sooo hot so very hot, I could no longer concentrate!!

Wow!  Amazing - loved it, never been to see a dance @ theatre and its going to be hard to beat this one!

Apart from 'breathtaking' this was one of the most amazing dance performances ever seen!  The dancers were fantastic and the incorporation of such a variety.  Loved the yoga too!!

Amazing!  Something different!  Exciting to see!  New dance technique in its own right!

Tres beau colore vive la video et la musique et surtout la dance sur sceine.

One of the strangest contempory's I have seen but I loved it!

Brilliant but the music was rubbish!

FAB!  A new dance technique in its own right.  Best thing I have seen in my life!  The workshop was a great insight to your great style!  WANT THE MUSIC  Send me a CD!

Workshop Reviews

Being a relatively new dancer I was quite uneasy before the workshop as our Dance teacher had just enlightened us on how intense and full of energy the ADT dance company were and thats what they were about. There production of Birdbrain had reviews like 'A heart-stopping, eye-popping hour and 15 minutes of pure genius - a truly theatrical and demanding performance that's funky, fast and furious.' Well if that doesn't get a teenager pumped up and excited then the kid ain't got any hormones! So there I was along with about twenty others doing the 'nice and easy' warm up, when in reality the lads couldn't even bend over and touch the floor with the palms of our hands. After the warm up we were privelaged to be allowed to be taught a phrase of Birdbrain. 'YES!' however my mental approach was not quite the same after the first minute as it came apparent that a lack of good movement memory combined with very fast movement, (and a lot of it might I add!) that I gradually began to lag behind the better dances until i tripped over myself! But on a more serious note the phrase we learnt was briliant, especially as a group. I learnt a lot from the workshop and felt a bigger urge to carry on dancing longer and be more creative. I also felt very sore the next morning, but boy it was worth it!! Thankyou ADT!

We had a workshop on the Monday at Norton College and to be honest I am usually negative about them but once we began I felt totally reassured and loved the workshop we did. The performers catered perfectly to our abilities with understanding and everybody enjoyed the set dances we learnt. We went to the performance on the Tuesday with high expectations from the workshop but nothing could have prepared us for what we saw. Anybody interested in dance would love it as it has many differnt types of dance cleverly choreographed and structured together, which kept everyone entranced and wanting to particpate in stretegicly flingling thenselves across the stage. I loved it, please come again soon!

Hi! I am a student from North Tyneside college and i just wanted to say "thankyou" for doing the workshop with me today. I really enjoyed.  It was very funky and energetic.  I loved the last part best-really fast.

I am seeing the show tomorrow night at Newcastle Theatre Royal and I can't wait. I am sure I will have a great time. Good luck with the show.
Thanks again.
