Arts Award is a nationally recognised unique qualification open to young people aged 5 to 25 years. It’s…

  • a great way for children and young people to be inspired by and enjoy the arts
  • offered at five levels, four accredited and one introductory award
  • a framework for learning new skills and sharing them
  • an opportunity to develop creativity and leadership skills
  • a link between young people and creative arts professionals

Dance Touring Partnership (DTP) is an Arts Award Supporter, which means that we can support young people and organisations to achieve their Arts Award. As well as activity relating to our own tours we can direct young people to a partnership of theatres and arts centres across the UK.

The tours that DTP organise across the year offer lots of ways to participate and engage with local theatres and the touring companies. The various ways to get involved are;

Dance Your City
Moving Together from Leicester were crowned winners of DTP’s Dance Your City 2 competition in the Autumn of 2013. The group of talented young dancers are all working towards a Gold Arts Award and being part of the competition will help them to achieve their goal. Congratulations!

If DTP can’t offer support to the young person directly, then DTP has a nationwide network of theatres to direct them to that offer a whole host of others ways to participate and achieve their arts award:
