Mon to Sun from 10am (closed in the evening when there is no theatre performance).

Disabled access

The Lowry is an accessible space.  We advise wheelchair users to inform the Box Office when booking tickets for a theatre event, so we can ensure all seating requirements are met. The Lowry offers complimentary tickets to essential carers for disabled visitors. Please check with Box Office on 0870 787 for details.

The Lowry has 4 wheelchairs available for hire free of charge.  These can be booked through Box Office on 0870 787 (3 manual and 1 motorised)

Receivers for our Sennheiser infra-red facility are available from The Lowry cloakroom.  Please advise Box Office of your requirements when booking theatre tickets.

Guide dogs are welcome.

Toilet facilities are available on all levels.


Transport links

Tram From national railway stations, Manchester Piccadilly and Victoria you can travel to The Lowry by Metrolink tram. You should alight at Harbour City, a 10 minute walk from The Lowry. Metrolink can be contacted on 0161 205 2000. 

Bus  Buses that go along the Quays and pass The Lowry:
69 - Eccles - Stretford. A regular service until 6pm excluding Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Buses that stop on Eccles New Road (20 mins walk to The Lowry):
27 - Swinton - Manchester. A regular service excluding Sundays and Bank Holidays.
25 - Bolton - Manchester. An evening, Sunday and Bank Holiday service.
33 - Wigan - Manchester. A regular service.
63 - Brookhouse - Manchester. An evening, Sunday and Bank Holiday service.

Buses that stop on Trafford Wharf Road (10 mins walk to The Lowry):
290 & 291 - Flixton - Manchester. An early morning and regular afternoon & evening service. No weekend or Bank Holiday service.

Buses that stop on Trafford Road (20 mins walk to The Lowry):
51 - Old Trafford - Manchester. A regular service excluding evenings, Sundays and Bank Holidays.
52 - Old Trafford - Manchester. A regular service excluding evenings.

Train  From national railway stations, Manchester Picadilly and Victoria you can travel to The Lowry by Metrolink tram. You should alight at Harbour City, a 10 minute walk from The Lowry. Metrolink tickets can be pre-booked when purchasing tickets through The Lowry Box Office. Adult: £2, Child:£1. Metrolink can be contacted on 0161 205 2000.
 

Car  
The Lowry is 10 minutes drive from Manchester City Centre, 20 minutes drive from Manchester Airport, and a quarter of a mile from the motorway network, giving access from all over the North West and beyond.

From the M60 take junction 12 for the M602. Salford Quays is a quarter of a mile from junction 3 of the M602. Follow the brown Lowry logo signs.

 
Parking  The Lowry has a secure open air car park only 175m from the building. Car park charges apply. The car park is open: Mon-Fri 6am to 1am, Sat 9am to 1am, Sun 10am to 11.30pm. The Lowry Coach Park accommodates up to 25 coaches and is free of charge. There is a drop-off point directly in front of The Lowry.
 
By Foot There are several walkways navigating the rejuvenated waterways of Salford Quays. The Lowry Footbridge offers access from Trafford Wharfside and provides spectacular views of The Quays.
 
Taxi There are a number of local taxi firms which are regularly used by The Lowry.
