Not sure what's interesting for you to hear and what's
not so I'll just waffle on and you can ignore the
boring bits.
So we've started touring and our first show was in
Sheffield at the Lyceum.
It always feels a bit of a whirlwind when you go to a
place for one show. It feels like you are on the
train back before you've even got there.
We've been rehearsing without the set so some of us
were a bit anxious about the first time back with a
set and remembering the fiddly details of the props
and costumes. We had the added nastiness of a
raked(don't know if thats how you spell it) stage.
Which means its slightly tilted on an angle. The
angle wasn't that big but big enough for an extra
thigh burn as you try and dance up the stage and the
worry of the ball rolling off into the audience, which
could be fun.
We stayed in a smelly hotel so pretty much avoided it.
Eating and drinking out and managing to spend next
weeks per diems as well.
The show went well. I think. But you're probably the
best judge of that.
I've got a day off today so I'm trying to settle my
aches and pains before traveling to Poole tomorrow.
So where's good to eat near the Lighthouse in Poole
after 10.30 on a Saturday night. Any clues?
Oh by the way Sheffield has the best old school police
box I have ever seen. Not that I've seen many but
I've seen enough to know it's the best one I've ever
seen.
Hiya Brammers (my friend that's in India and keeping
tabs on me through this diary). Have you turned into
a sarong wearing hippy yet?
