Leon Baugh
Trained at NSCD and LABAN dance schools, Leon graduated with the Principals award for outstanding achievement in performance. He went on to work in projects with Retina Dance Company and Athina Vahla’s ‘Prised Open’. In 2003 Leon joined Barebones Dance Company where he worked with choreographers such as Kim Brandstrup, Carol Brown, Will Tuckett and Frantic Assembly. He took part in the first Jerwood Choreolab research project, where he worked with Jasmin Vardimon and Protein Dance Company. After touring with Barebones he then joined Jasmin Vardimon Dance Company where he toured ‘Lullaby’ and created a role in ‘Park’. As well as creating his own part time company with Delphine Gaborit, which have commissioned Carol Brown and performed in London, he has also taken part in projects, including a TV commercial for Orange Mobile Phones, work with Frantic Assembly and a week of performances with Pina Bausch. Recently Leon has also become a qualified Deep Tissue Massage Therapist and is in the process of obtaining his qualifications for Sports Injury Massage.
Caroline Bridges
Caroline worked with Motionhouse Dance Theatre in productions Volatile; Fearless; Atomic; Twisted and Faking it, all of which toured nationally. She also collaborated with the company to create the film footage for Perfect.
Caroline is also Director/Choreographer of Brazen Dance Theatre. Works created include Polarize (2006); Perceptions (2003); Branded (2003) and For Love or Money (2002). She was shortlisted for the Place Prize in 2006.
Caroline also directs and choreographs a number of dance films. Most recently she has directed and choreographed Red in the white, shown at this year’s Portobello Film Festival; and Decsurveillance, an art gallery installation with dance and film created for Arts Council West Midland’s Capture programme.
Caroline teaches both with her company, for the Royal Ballet School and is an Animateur for Rambert Dance Company
Joel Corpuz
Joel Corpuz was born in Santiago, Isabela Philippines, attended and trained at QUT, Academy of Arts (dance) Brisbane. He has performed with Curious Work, Chunky Move, Opera Australia, Disney Theatrical, Sydney Dance Co, Tasdance, Expression Dance and World Dance Company.
Raquel Meseguer
Raquel Meseguer trained at London Contemporary Dance School graduating with a first class degree in 2004. She was a member of Maresa von Stockert's Tilted Co. from 2004-2005, and performed in La Sardina, Grim[m] Desires and toured with the company's production More Grim[m] Desires. She has also been involved in Research & Development projects with PunchDrunk. Raquel formed Lost Dog with Ben Duke in 2004. Their duet Pave up Paradise won first prize at the 2004 Burgos International Choreography competition and is currently being toured by Phoenix Dance Theatre as part of their Stories in Red 25th anniversary mixed bill. At the Edinburgh Festival 2005, they premiered a further new work, The Drowner, which was nominated for a Total Theatre Award. The company went on to receive a Bonnie Bird UK New Choreographers Award in November 2005 and was commissioned to make a new piece, The Over-Head Project, for The Place White Christmas Season 2005. This year the company was short-listed for the Oxford Samuel Beckett Theatre Award and was invited to be Choreographers in Residence at the MADE in Umea Festival, Sweden.
Sonja Perreten
Originally from Vancouver, Sonja began her training with Anna Wyman before going to the School of Toronto Dance Theatre and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Centre. She stayed on in New York, where she performed as a principal for Infinity Dance Theatre, Roxanna Young and Dancers, Ginger Thatcher, and Bartholomew Baptista, touring across the United States and in Europe; she also collaborated extensively with painter Terry Rosenberg. Since returning to Vancouver in 2001 Sonja has danced for companies including The Holy Body Tattoo, Paul-André Fortier, Compagnie Vision Sélective, Animals of Distinction, Julia Sasso, and Wen Wei Wang. She recently worked with Steven Hoggett of Frantic Assembly on an Orange commercial. For the tour of Revelations Sonja is supported by the Canada Council for the Arts.
Liam Steel
Liam Steel was a core member of DV8 Physical Theatre, firstly as a performer and then also as Assistant Director of the company, alongside Lloyd Newson. As a freelancer Liam has collaborated with the foremost physical theatre companies in this country including Complicité, David Glass Ensemble and four productions with Frantic Assembly.
Rob Tannion
Australian born Rob Tannion came to Europe in 1993. He joined Alias Compagnie in Switzerland before becoming a core member of DV8 Physical Theatre, with whom he devised and performed four original works. Rob has collaborated with Klaus Obermaier, Complicité, Russell Maliphant and was recently Associate Choreographer on the stage version of Lord of the Rings.
